Pics from Baghdad 5-18-04 These are two photos of the Iraqi Police in Baghdad serving a meal for their guest MPs. Lieutenant Colonel Fatah brought the meal for us and it consisted of fish, fried rice, and an onion and artichoke dish. Of course everything is eaten with just your hands, no utensils. .

A great photo showing what it is really like here. This is where 2nd platoon had to close off a section of a road, probably because of a home made bomb. There are tanks and MPs to make it happen and then you must also be a civil servant in a country where you don't even speak the language. SSG Andrews watches 2LT Thurman, who is enjoying explaining what is happening to the locals. |
