CPT Townsend in true Cavalry fashion, with Stetson on, receives the combat patch as the colors of the most decorated MP company in the Army are displayed proudly behind him.
1SG George, SPC Alonzo (with guidon) and CPT Townsend proudly receive the ceremonial combat patch for all the troopers of the 545th.
The ceremonial combat patch as presented from the commanding general that now adorns our wall. You will notice that it is actually a reverse of the actual CAV patch. This is the first time this was ever done and is not approved by the department of heraldry, upon return we will all wear the regular CAV patch on our right shoulder. This one is displayed this way so that our horse is still facing forward into battle when it is worn on the right shoulder. |
